Where We Work

To date, Barnabas Leadership Ministries (BLM) has served and supported Pastors and Lay Leaders in Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe (Africa), India (Asia), Peru (South America), and USA (through ministry to international students). We hope and pray the countries we support will increase in number and intensity as the Lord provides partnerships and resources.

The map below shows the eight current countries we have touched since we began our work of charity. We praise the Lord that He is using BLM to touch the lives of underresourced servant leaders. Our goal is to encourage and equip them for the advancing of God's kingdom in their spheres of influence.

Though the foundations for the work in Kenya were laid earlier, it actually began in 2007 when the first organized Short-Term Mission Trip took place. On the other hand, we started developing an interest in Peru in 2007 when a missionary couple issued a "Macedonian Call" to us (cf. Acts 16:6-10) to go and train leaders there. Following this challenge one of our board members began sponsoring a needy Peruvian child through World Vision. Then in 2010 we became engaged with Peru as a ministry by purchasing a bicycle for a lay leader.

BLM also received a "Macedonian Call" to train pastors and missionaries in India. We hope the years ahead will bring a close relationship and work with Indian pastors and lay leaders. Thankfully, this ministry is already in partnership with an Indian ministry based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’”Matthew 28:18-20, NIV
